Former journalist Georgia started her career in radio newsrooms around the country. Her interest in Antarctica began during her undergraduate studies at the University of Canterbury. She is passionate about connecting everyday New Zealanders with Antarctic science and helping Kiwis understand the importance of the frozen continent at the bottom of the world. In 2020 she was named as the PRINZ Sally Logan-Milne Young Practitioner of the Year.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Georgia helps with external and internal communications.
