James Brasington

PhD

Geomorphologist

University of Canterbury

Professor James Brassington studies the processes that control the form, structure and function of rivers and their catchments. His focus is on the links between the Earth’s surface morphology and the physical processes that shape it.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, James will use remote sensing, geospatial science and numerical modelling to understand landscape evolution, particularly that driven by melting of inland ice surfaces and periglacial features.
