Dr Steve Parker is an expert in Antarctic toothfish biology and ecology. His research on fish tagging, movement and migration, and reproductive physiology is used in fisheries survey design and to advise in the protection of vulnerable marine ecosystems.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Steve will focus on the effect climate change on predators and ecosystem dynamics of the Ross Sea, with a special focus on the role of platelet ice habitats in the breeding cycle of the Antarctic silverfish - a key mid-trophic species.
