Jocelyn Turnbull

PhD

Radiocarbon Scientist

GNS Science

Dr Jocelyn Turnbull’s research uses radiocarbon measurement to investigate the source and fate of fossil fuel CO2 emissions, urban greenhouse gas emissions, distribution and controls on atmospheric radiocarbon, and exchange of carbon between atmosphere and oceans and land.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Jocelyn will collect observations of 14CO2 and other trace gases over the Southern Ocean and combine these data with dynamical process modelling to understand the role of the Southern Ocean as a carbon sink.
