Alina is a pelagic marine biologist with a strong interest in active acoustics, environmental DNA, food-web dynamics, biogeochemical cycling and environmental governance and protection.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Alina is collecting acoustic data and collecting environmental DNA samples to assess the abundance and ecology of commercially important and mesopelagic fish in the Ross Sea.
