Cliff Law

Marine Biogeochemist

NIWA & University of Otago

Professor Cliff Law’s research interest is in marine biochemistry and ocean-atmosphere research, particularly trace gas cycling and sources in coastal and open ocean regions, nutrient limitation of phytoplankton, and impacts of ocean acidification in sub-Antarctic and Polar waters.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Cliff will examine the impact of ocean acidification and climate variability on biogeochemical cycling, marine ecosystem structure and productivity.
