Faezeh Bahmani

PhD candidate

NIWA

Faezeh is an oceanography student specialising in understanding the effects of climate change on the Southern Ocean's CO₂ uptake. Using the NEMO model, she analyses the effects of changing atmospheric and oceanic conditions on carbon dynamics. Faezeh’s research employs coarse-resolution modelling to investigate how changes in atmospheric and oceanic dynamics influence carbon uptake. The goal is to contribute to our understanding of the Southern Ocean’s vital role in regulating global carbon cycles and mitigating climate change.
