Darcy is an engineer at Victoria University of Wellington’s Antarctic Research Centre, specialising in the design, construction, and operation of mechanical drilling systems for Antarctic research. He has nearly 20 years’ experience with ice core, hot-water, and sediment drilling systems used in Antarctica.
Within the Antarctic Science Platform, Darcy provides technical drilling support and operational management for ice core and hot-water drilling across several Platform projects.
