Gabby O’Connor is a transdisciplinary researcher with a research background that spans science communication, social science, engagement, collaboration and more. Gabby has been involved in Antarctic research since working with K131 in 2015 and 2016 measuring and documenting sea ice platelets for science and scientists in the field for comms.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, O’Connor is continuing workshops and interviews with scientists and policy makers while creating fact-checked and illustrated resources of researchers “Favourite Antarctic Facts” from the first phase. These “Facts” will become available to all ASP researchers for comms purposes as a means for engaging different publics that include stakeholders and policy makers and wider public.
