Dr Hannah Chorley is a Senior Science Advisor – Climate at New Zealand’s Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport.
She leads New Zealand’s engagement with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and supports the Government’s participation in science under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Her work focuses on strengthening the interface between climate science and policy, ensuring that robust scientific evidence informs climate-related policy and decision-making in New Zealand.
Hannah received her PhD from the Antarctic Research Centre, Victoria University of Wellington, where she studied Miocene sediments in the Friis Hills, Antarctica.
