Glaciologist

University of Otago

Early Career Researcher

Dr Holly Still is a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Surveying, University of Otago. Her research combines field observations, remote sensing and ice-flow modelling to study the mechanics of Antarctic glaciers and ice shelves.

In the Antarctic Science Platform, Holly will use high-resolution field observations and numerical model simulations to understand the processes and interactions that control ice-shelf flow, deformation, and stability. This research will improve the representation of Antarctic ice mechanics in ice sheet models and improve our ability to predict how ice sheets and ice shelves will respond to climate change.
