Dr Matthew Druce is an isotope geochemist who harnesses the unique properties of chemical elements and their isotopes to characterise the physical, chemical, and biological processes that connect ecosystems and Earth’s climate system.
Within the Antarctic Science Platform, Matthew investigates the origin, chemistry, and impacts of newly emerging seafloor seeps, linking terrestrial Antarctic environments to the Southern Ocean and its ecosystems.
