Tobi is a Computer Scientist with a research background in Machine Learning and Data Science for the environmental domain. In his PhD dissertation, Tobi investigated the use of deep learning methodologies for the detection and prediction of anomalous and extreme weather events in Antarctica. In the Antarctic Science Platform, Tobi is expanding his previous work on data-driven solutions for extreme event prediction and the broader advancement of the field of environmental data science in polar regions.
